Hoarding occurs more often than people think. There are underwriting and coverage issues that matter. This course will walk through why some people hoard. We will discuss how coverage is applied to the vast amounts of contents damaged in a loss and how adjusters determine coverage.

We will also review how hoarding situations are underwritten, and how carriers get off a risk once they discover they are dealing with a hoarding situation. The conversations are hard, but important. Often time family members are aware that something is going on, but they do not know what to do about it. Many times the hoarder themselves don't know what to do. Using actual examples, we will turn the lights on around this topic.
