A house fire is a traumatic event for a homeowner. That very trauma creates an opportunity for bad actors, looking to take advantage of the confusion and the homeowner's feeling of lack of direction or control. Some of the aspects of a fire are time-sensitive, such as board-ups. But the next phases of the claim allow time for the homeowner to slow down and decide who they want to work with.

Fire victims have tools they can use to get out of a contract they were pressured to sign at the actual fire. Communication plays a big role in the outcomes the family that suffered a fire loss has to deal with. This course uses actual examples and analogies to equip agents with information that they can use to aid their customers.
