Dad Day! at Boom Island Brewing

Calling all dads and dad fans!!

Boom is hosting DAD DAY – a celebration of all things dad! We’ll have live music throughout the day, a dad joke competition, best dad outfit contest (stereotypical boomer dad style), BBQ food truck, and more! Come on out for this free, goofy event, all ages welcome!

Live Music

2-5pm – Private Oates (Hall & Oates Tribute Band)

7-9pm – Danger Club

Contests

1:00pm – Dad Joke Contest – Line up your best dad joke to tell the audience and our judges!

Be sure to have a couple back-up jokes just in case someone else tells yours first or if you want to show off! Anyone is welcome to tell their best dad joke(s), not just dads.

5:15pm – Best Beard Contest – “Grow” the beardiest beard that you can!

This competition will have two parts: – Part 1: Authentic (home grown) Beard , Party 2: Artificial (hand made) Beard – Anyone is welcome to grow or create their best beard!

6:00pm – Best Dad Outfit Contest – Dress in your dad best for the day and show off your boomer best before the judges and audience! Anyone is welcome to dress their dad best!
