Construction Project Manager
Lakeside Exteriors is seeking an experienced Exterior Construction Project Manager to oversee residential window, siding, roofing, exterior painting, and storm damage replacement projects from post-sale through final completion. This role is responsible for scheduling, field oversight, quality control, customer communication, and documentation to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to company quality standards.
Manage multiple exterior projects, including windows, siding, roofing, exterior painting, and storm restoration, from job handoff through final walkthrough.
Coordinate and schedule crews, subcontractors, deliveries, dumpsters, and inspections to keep jobs on track.
Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners during production, providing proactive updates and clear expectations.
Perform pre-job site visits to confirm scope, measurements, access, site conditions, and safety requirements.
Verify material measurements, orders, colors, and specifications against contracts and work orders before ordering materials.
Oversee daily field operations to ensure workmanship meets company standards and manufacturer requirements.
Identify and resolve jobsite issues, change orders, and punch list items quickly to maintain schedule and customer satisfaction.
Document project progress with photos, notes, and updates in the CompanyCam
Coordinate and attend inspections as required and ensure compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
Support storm damage and insurance restoration projects by helping gather documentation, supplements, and final completion photos as needed.
Monitor job costs, labor hours, and material usage to help keep projects within budget.
Maintain professional relationships with homeowners, suppliers, and trade partners while representing Lakeside Exteriors in the field.
2 to 3 or more years of experience managing residential exterior construction projects such as windows, siding, roofing, or similar work.
Strong knowledge of exterior construction practices, building envelopes, and installation standards.
Experience coordinating multiple crews and subcontractors on active jobsites.
Comfortable communicating with homeowners, sales representatives, and installers by phone, text, and email.
Ability to read and interpret contracts, scopes of work, drawings, and material orders.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions on the jobsite with minimal supervision.
Basic computer skills for CRM and project software, email, and photo documentation; experience with construction apps is a plus.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, with the ability to travel between jobs across the Twin Cities metro and Brainerd/Crosslake Lakes Area.
Work Environment and Compensation Notes
Full-time, primarily field-based role visiting active projects throughout the Minneapolis–St. Paul metro area, and some Brainerd/Crosslake Lakes Area
Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings or Saturdays during peak season.
Compensation can be structured as salary or salary plus bonus, with incentives tied to customer satisfaction, quality, and schedule adherence.
