Position Summary


The Private Wealth Advisor is responsible for the relationship management and administration of high-net worth investment agency, IRA, and custody clients in addition to a small book of fiduciary relationships. The Advisor will partner with a local Private Wealth team to build and grow a book of high-net worth clients through effective networking and team-based selling.  Manages accounts and client relationships through effective coordination of the client service team (investments, planning, administration, operations). Coordinates, develops, and communicates financial plans to clients and prospects through the use of E-Money and our Financial planning team.


This position will include certain assigned responsibilities for one or more of the Focus Areas.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Lead Relationship Manager for a book of high-net worth, Private Wealth relationships

Detailed financial planning expertise working with high-net-worth clients and prospects.

Business development skills and COI connections to assist in the creation of a Private Wealth pipeline through external and internal relationships.

Maintains ongoing client contact to assess needs and proactively assist with financial objectives, including coordinating client meetings with the service team.

Coordinates account setup including paperwork for new account relationships/assets

Provides ongoing monitoring of the account, coordinating with investment management team to ensure client account is managed within the scope of its investment objective.

Oversees administration of account as appropriate with type of account which may include reviewing and approving expenditures, submitting recommendations for discretionary distributions, and other account administration activities.

Ensures adherence to trust policy in the ongoing administration of the account.

Directs administrative staff member(s) to assist in various capacities relating to this job description.

Participates in client and prospect calling efforts.

Serves as a member of the Trust Administrative Committee as well as other designated committee roles.

Participates in community activities to enhance overall marketing efforts of the department and bank.

Recommends changes or enhancement in procedures for the department.

Education and/or Experience


Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of post high school education and related work experience


Additional degree certification including CFP, JD, etc. preferred but not required


Prefer 5-10 years of wealth management experience working with high-net-worth customers.


Prior experience building and delivering financial plans for high-net worth clients.


Supervisory Requirements


This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Other Skills & Qualifications


Must have demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications with emphasis on Outlook, Word, and Excel as well as proficiency with various internal banking software to perform duties. All associates are responsible for the knowledge and application of banking laws, rules, regulations, prescribed practices, and ethical standards that are applicable to their position, including internal controls in the performance of their assigned job duties. Internal Control responsibilities are established in various policies and procedures, including the Employee Handbook.
